A 64-year-old man, identified as Anibal Hernandez-Santana, has been arrested after allegedly firing multiple shots into ABC 10 (KXTV), a local Sacramento television station. According to police and reports from Variety, Hernandez-Santana’s social media activity revealed a stream of anti-Trump posts and calls to “fight like hell” against the Trump administration.Authorities confirmed that the station was struck three times during a drive-by shooting late Friday. Fortunately, no employees were injured. Hernandez-Santana now faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, negligent discharge of a firearm, and shooting into an occupied building, with bail set at $200,000. His court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. The shooting followed a small protest outside ABC 10 over the suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who faced backlash for comments made about the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing. Officials say Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, had expressed far-left views, including support for Antifa, and was reportedly “indoctrinated” in leftist ideology.Variety reports that Hernandez-Santana previously worked as a legislative director for the California Federation of Teachers and was dismissed from a prior job in 2018 after a confrontation with supervisors. His LinkedIn profile says he is retired and focused on “full-time parenting.”Tegna, which owns ABC 10, has assured that all employees are safe and that additional security measures have been put in place. The FBI assisted in the manhunt, though officials say a motive has not yet been determined.
